2:2. ಎಲೀಯನು ಎಲೀಷನಿಗೆ, “ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಎಲೀಷನು, “ಯೆಹೋವನಾಣೆ, ನಿನ್ನಾಣೆ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.

2:2. ಆಗ ಎಲೀಯನು ಎಲೀಷನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇರು; ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸು ತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲೀಷನು--ಕರ್ತನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣದ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರು ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.

2:2. Elijah told Elisha, "Stay here, for the LORD has sent me to Bethel." But Elisha said, "As certainly as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel.

2:2. And Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here, for the LORD has told me to go to Bethel." But Elisha replied, "As surely as the LORD lives and you yourself live, I will never leave you!" So they went down together to Bethel.

2:2. And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for Jehovah hath sent me as far as Beth-el. And Elisha said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el.

2:2. And Elijah said to Elisha, "Please stay here, for the LORD has sent me as far as Bethel." But Elisha said, "As the LORD lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel.

2:2. and Elijah saith unto Elisha, `Abide, I pray thee, here, for Jehovah hath sent me unto Beth-El;` and Elisha saith, `Jehovah liveth, and thy soul liveth, if I leave thee;` and they go down to Beth-El.

2:2. Elijah said to Elisha, "Please stay here, because the Lord told me to go to Bethel." But Elisha said, "I promise, as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So the two men went down to Bethel.
